7/4 About 30 miles east of Carroll, on the way to Ames, is the small town of Jefferson, home of Bunkers Dunkers donuts which of course I had to check out .
On 7/5 I stopped in Grundy Center for the night , which is about 25 miles west of Cedar Falls Iowa. It rained most of the day today, so I got a cab to Cedar Falls, then rented a car to drive to Dubuque.
